Alienware revives the Area-51 series of laptops

During CES 2025, Alienware revealed the return of the famous Area-51 series of laptops, with a new industrial design and advanced performance targeting gaming enthusiasts and professional users.
The company offers two versions of the laptop with 16- and 18-inch screens, equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processors and NVIDIA RTX 5090 graphics cards.
The devices can reach 175W of graphics power, with an additional 105W dedicated to the processor, providing exceptional performance in demanding tasks and games.
Technically, the devices support up to 64 GB of memory at a speed of 7200 MT/s, which is the highest in the history of Alienware laptops. It also allows up to 12TB of storage space using PCIe Gen 5 SSDs.
The new design features a turquoise blue metallic paint with sparkling effects, and Aurora lighting integrated into the back.
The company added a Gorilla Glass window at the bottom with a ventilation hole, which allows viewing of internal components and improves air flow. The new cooling system provides a 35% improvement in airflow while reducing noise by 15%.
The 16-inch version comes in at 7.6 pounds, while the 18-inch version weighs 9.8 pounds. The devices will be available for sale in the first quarter of the year, starting at $3,199 for the top versions, with plans to launch basic models later at $1,999.
